JEEVANDHARA MISSION INTRODUCTION

About India and Rajasthan Ministry

The Church in India is among the oldest true Christian churches in the whole world. Therefore India occupies a place of God and also in the history of Christianity.
Being the second largest populated country in the world, India has about 120 crore people today. Out of this mass 5.8% people are Christians. It has 29 states and 6 union territories. There are 400 cities in our country and out of 27000 pin code area 14000 areas does not have any missionaries. Out of 7 Lakhs villages there is no church in 5 Lakh villages.  Amongst many states in our country, the state of Rajasthan has been a burden for me for a long time. I have been there in the years of 2005 – 2006.
Usually the state has been viewed as an under developed state in every aspect. Rajasthan means “The abode of the Rajas”. It is one of the Border State of India. It has arid regions including part of the Thar Desert. The state is a collection of 18 former princely state. It is the first largest state in India by area.
The state is known for ancient and medieval architecture. Early Buddhist rock inscriptions, forts, princely palaces and Jain temples are objects of historical interest.
In the 1920s a people’s movement in the Mewar District brought hundreds of Bhils into the church. Christians have contributed much to the educational progress of the state thought schools ans colleges. Christians now from 0.12% of the population; Hindus – 89%, Muslims – 7.5%, Jains – 1.8%, Sikhs – 1.50%. The scriptures have to be translated into Wagri and at least 50 other local languages and dialects. No Christian are known among two million Meo Muslims. Prayer is needed for response among the Rajputs, Jats, Jains and Marwaries, and for work in all pin code areas. Our burden is to start ministry in 20 pin code areas of this state carrying the gospel of Jesus Christ. God urged me to start an orphanage for little children so that from their young age they will be exposed to a Christian atmosphere. By doing so they can go back to evangelize in their own local community and win souls for Jesus. Their services can be utilized to uplift the society around them.
Since I can’t do if alone, the above task has to be carried out only with your prayers and support. Therefore I urge you in the precious Name of our lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to share the responsibility for this Great cause.

I humbly request you to pray and take part in contributions as the lord lays a burden upon your heart
