WHY? WE GOING TO CHURCH ON SUNDAY




God Blessed a Day in a week  
1. Genesis 2:3 and Blessed the Seventh Day.....
God Sanctified a day in a week (Set apart - MADE HOLY)
 2. Genesis 2:3 ...And Sanctified if.. God made to be holy for His Purpose.
 3. Exodus 20:8 Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy. God commanded us.
  4. Exodus 20:9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all the work. God commands us that we should do work on six days that are ours. He makes a difference of the days as physical or fleshly and a day for spirituality.
5.      Exodus 20:10 But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work.
JESUS CHRIST ROSE ON THE FRIST DAY OF THE WEEK
6.      Matthew 28:1 ..as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week…the Sunday
Matthew 28:2  “…there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door…”  God sent an Angel from heaven to Earth to roll back the stone on Sunday.
7.      The Testimony of the Angel on the first day of the week, the Sunday, Matthew 28:6 He is not here:  for HE is risen.
John 20:1 “The first day of the week cometh Mary Magadalene early, when it was yet dark”…


JESUS CHRIST ASCENDED UNTO THE FATHER ON SUNDAY

8.      John 20:17 The Lord said He needs to ascend to heaven, that was a Sunday.

JESUS CHRIST APPEARED UNTO THE DISCIPLES ON THE FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK
9.      John 20:19  Then the same day at evening, being the first day in the week…”.  The first day of the week, the Sunday, the Lord appeared to Disciples.
10.  Jesus Christ gave HIS PEACE to Disciples on that Sunday.
11.  John 20:26 And after eight days again his disciples were within Eighth day refers, counting from first day of the week, the Sunday to Sunday.

THE DAY OF PENTECOST IS THE FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK THAT IS A SUNDAY.
12.  The day of Pentecost is FIFTIETH day – 50, which is a Sunday.  Lev.23:15.

13.    The feast of Pentecost is the fourth feast, the middle of seven feasts of the Jews.  The feast of Passover, The feast of unleavened bread, the feast of first fruit, the feast of Pentecost, the feast of Trumpets, the feast of the day of Atonement, and the feast of Tabernacle.  Christ is the center of the God- head.  Christ is the center of BC and AD in our calendar.  He is born by the prophecies of Old Testament and the fulfillment in the New Testament,  He came to fulfill the Law (Matt. 5: 17)  and to give us the Grace (Jam 4:6)
14.  The commencement of the New Testament church is on Sunday. A new era. That is the fulfillment of the God the Father, which is on Sunday (Acts 1:5)
15.  Believing Jews on the Lord Jesus Christ received the spiritual gifts of God Acts 2:4
16.  The first leader of the Jerusalem Church Simon peter, preached God’s word on SUNDAY, the first day of the week. He explained to the misunderstood crowd from the Old Testament. Tell the historic facts clearly on Sunday Acts 2:14-30

24.  The Jerusalem Church continued in FELLOWSHIP on Sunday Acts 2:41
25.  The Jerusalem Church continued in BREAKING BREAD on Sunday Acts 2:41
26.  The Jerusalem Church continued in PRAYER on Sunday Acts 2:41 Acts 12:1-11
27.  Many signs and wonders had happened on Sunday Acts 2:43

SUNDAY WAS THE DAY FOR EARLY CHURCH TO GATHER FOR WORSHIP AND TO LEARN GOD’S WORD. 
28     Preaching was done till mid-night on Sunday at Troas 20:7 we must preach and listen to God word. “Preach the Word: be istant in season, out of season” 2 Tim 4:2 Time should not limit us in leaning God’s Word, on Sundays.

29.  TRUE SPIRITUAL believers will find life in others. Acts 20:10 True Christians should see unbeliever that they too can have life eternal John 3:16
30.  We should not neglect the Church gatherings on Sunday. Hebrews 10:25
